Shandong Engineering Machinery Co. Ltd manufactured SEM branded wheel loaders in China for over 50 years and became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Caterpillar in 2008. In 2014, the SEM Company transitioned to Caterpillar (Qingzhou) Ltd. and continues to produce SEM branded products.
As one important strategic utility product brand of Caterpillar, SEM has its own brand proposition, distribution channels, marketing strategy and product support. In 2016, to further enhance the SEM brand, Caterpillar approved the endorsement “SEM – A Caterpillar Brand”
Wheel Loaders

SEM Wheel Loaders have been manufactured in China for nearly 60 years. We offer compact, small and midsize loaders to meet the needs of every application. Our SEM 66X Series Wheel Loaders are designed for heavy working conditions and higher load capacities.
Motor Graders

SEM Motor Graders feature a large cab mounted on the front frame for an exceptional view to the blade and front axle even during articulation. With a height of 1.9 meters, the cab is about 30 percent larger than competitive models, for exceptional operator comfort and productivity.
